Precise Brake Light Function

With the BL.ACE version, you also have the option to activate a brake light: simply slide the included silicone cover over the brake lever and signal your braking intention as soon as you apply pressure to the lever. You can also trigger a light horn on the helmet’s front light via the lever. One cover for a brake lever is included and can be mounted on the left or right side. If you want to equip both brake levers with a sensor, you’ll find the appropriate additional sensor in our shop.

Comfort in Any Weather

While the ear pads keep your ears warm, the visor protects your eyes from dust, wind, and insects. Thanks to the seamless transition from visor to helmet edge, your eye area is optimally protected. If the weather turns bad, you can easily close the large ventilation openings using the VentCover.

More Protection on E-Bikes

The ABUS HYP-E meets the strict requirements of the NTA 8776 standard – the world’s first safety standard developed specifically for S-pedelec riders. Helmets certified to the NTA standard are tested at significantly higher impact speeds, offer improved protection to the back of the head and temples, and can absorb greater impact forces.

Magnetic and Height-Adjustable Visor

The visor is easily attached using magnets and can be adjusted in height. It reliably protects your eyes from wind, rain, and insects – and can be easily flipped up, removed, or replaced.

Easy Operation Without an App

No smartphone is required to control the smart ABUS HYP-E. You can activate the front and rear lights using the on/off button at the back of the helmet. Press and hold the button for about one second to switch the lights on. Short presses allow you to cycle through the lighting modes, while a long press turns the lights off again.

Insect Protection Net

An integrated insect protection net keeps flies and other annoying insects away from your head – without impairing helmet ventilation.
