Precision crafted technical equipment
Bikepacking gear is your lifeline on the road and off the trail. To keep your gear safe and dry, bags on your bike need to be waterproof and durable. They also have to be light and balanced to ensure the handling of the bike. Apidura works with leading manufacturing partners and textile mills to develop materials that are completely waterproof and extremely durable without being excessively bulky. Clever features like invisible labyrinth air valves improve functionality without adding weight or complexity.
Sustainable production with a long lifespan
/ Resource-saving production: Apidura has radically reduced the amount of material needed to make bikepacking bags by rethinking the design approach and changing the production process.
/ Avoiding harmful chemicals: The use of PFA's, such as DWR (Durable Water Repellency), in the outdoor industry has toxic consequences for the environment. Apidura is pioneering the use of a TPU coating as an alternative source of water-repellent properties. All Apidura bags manufactured since mid-2021 are PFA-free.
/ Packaging: Since 2022, Apidura's hangtags have been made from 100% recycled pulp and are fully recyclable. In addition, a pilot program has launched in 2023 to replace plastic bags with paper/glassine product bags wherever possible.
/ Build to last: Bags that are built to last start with the production of raw materials to exacting specifications and then pass into the hands of talented craftsmen to create technical and refined products that are designed to last.
