SOL Escape Bivvy with Hood – Breathable Bivy Sack for Bikepacking, Trekking and Ultra Adventures
The SOL Escape Bivvy with Hood combines the weather protection of a classic bivy sack with a breathable material that reduces condensation while reflecting body heat. Unlike simple emergency bivy sacks, the special SOL Escape ThermaShell material allows moisture to escape to the outside, creating a more comfortable climate inside.
With its adjustable hood, the Escape Bivvy provides additional protection from wind and weather. The durable, reusable material is highly resistant to tears and damage while maintaining a low weight. This makes it ideal for bikepacking, trekking, fastpacking, and ultracycling adventures where reliable weather protection and a compact pack size are essential.
Many bikepackers and ultralight trekkers use the SOL Escape Bivvy as a minimalist sleeping system under a tarp or as an additional protective layer over a sleeping bag or quilt. Especially on long-distance adventures and in changing conditions, it shows its strengths: low weight, durable construction, and reliable protection against wind and moisture.
The SOL Escape Bivvy is available from us in the sizes Regular and XL. The XL version offers more space and is particularly suitable for taller users or for use with a more voluminous sleeping system.
