Adapter Thru Axle for Mounting Rear Racks
The Topeak Zi:RAK Thru Axle is an adapter thru axle with an integrated M5 thread on both sides. It allows you to mount a rear rack to frames that do not have factory threaded eyelets. The axle replaces the original rear axle with a shaft length of up to 170 mm, making it suitable for many gravel bikes. For mountain bikes with a wider rear triangle, please check the required length in advance. Thanks to the included spacers, the axle can be flexibly adjusted to the correct length.

Thread Pitch (TP):
You can usually find the required thread pitch directly on your existing thru axle. It is typically marked with P or TP. Alternatively, you can determine the pitch yourself. A step-by-step guide is shown in the product images.

Shaft Length:
- 170 mm without spacers (not suitable for mountain bikes with wide frames, please measure first!)
- The minimum adjustable length using flat spacers is 159.5 mm (possibly minus the conical spacer)
- With the included spacers, the length can be precisely adjusted to match your frame width. Additional spacers are available as accessories in our shop.
- Your current shaft length is ideally printed on your original thru axle. You can also measure it yourself. Instructions can be found in the product photos.
